Where We Stayed: Grand Hyatt in Downtown Denver

We really enjoyed our stay here because of the convenient location, clean and comfy room, and the affordable rate compared to the standard fare.
TIP! If you stay here, do not use the valet. It will cost you $50 a night! Instead, park across the street in the public parking garage for a $6 overnight fare.

What We Did:
Ski Day: Echo Mountain

Echo Mountain is Denver’s closest ski area. It’s affordable, accessible, and everyone there is helpful and welcoming.
We bought our ski jackets and pants online but rented the rest of our ski equipment (skis, boots, poles, helmet) from the Echo since it was only $35 per person.
However, if you’re very new to skiing this mountain is not for you. Their beginner slopes are more intermediate and there isn’t a whole lot of space to practice for a beginner.
