Happy Friday babes! I’ve been living in Atlanta for about three months now and I absolutely love it. It is such a change of pace from Florida and I’m enjoying the big city feel. This week I gathered a few local spots I’ve liked from my time here so far. Here are 5 top places for you to check out:
1. Restaurant: South City Kitchen
Located between the high-rises of Buckhead on Peachtree Street, South City Kitchen offers an array of dishes for lunch, brunch and dinner. My favorite dinner dishes are the Springer Mountain Farms Fried Chicken and the Shrimp & Red Mule Grits!
2. Bar: Whiskey Blue
You enter by taking a glass elevator that climbs 125 feet up the outside of the W Atlanta-Buckhead, to the rooftop, Whiskey Blue. There are two outdoor terraces and views of Buckhead and Lenox Square from one side and of Midtown on the other. I highly recommend going to get drinks around sunset when it’s not as crowded and the views are best.
3. Shopping: Ponce City Market
What used to be a historic building is now is a mixed-use development shopping center. Ponce City Market has national and local retail anchors, restaurants, a food hall, boutiques offices, and residential units. I love it’s industrial vibe.
4. Park: Piedmont Park
Located 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, Piedmont park runs along 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue in midtown Atlanta. It’s my favorite in-town park because of the variety of events and activities that are always constantly going on like yoga, music festivals and food markets.
5. Coffee Shop: Octane Coffee / Bar
Octane has four locations in Atlanta, Georgia serving up coffee, cocktails, and cuisine in uniquely curated settings. My favorite spots are the Woodruff Arts Center and Atlanta Tech Village (Buckhead).
