My 28-day skin transformation with Lancôme’s Visionnaire Crescendo

As you all know, I am a skincare enthusiast. And, if you’re a regular reader, you know how difficult it is for me to find a product that works well with hormonal acne.

Over two weeks ago I received Lancôme’s Visionaire Crescendo. This 28-day skin peel works in a two-phase process and is meant to exfoliate skin surface cells and address multiple skin concerns: uneven skin texture, the appearance of pores, wrinkles/fine lines, and dark spots.

I’ve never used any kind of in-home chemical peel and was somewhat leery about trying this product, but I gave it a chance because I know Lancôme is a trustworthy brand. So, here’s how the first 14 days went:

How to use the product properly

This product should be used at night only and in the below order. To be clear, do NOT rinse this product off after applying until you wake up the next morning.

Approximately 1 Hour Before Bedtime:
1. Wash your face.
2. Apply the peel. Leave on. Do not wash off.
3. Allow time to dry and for your skin to absorb skincare products.
4. Apply a cream moisturizer over the peel.
5.When you wake up the next morning, wash your face and apply your morning routine (do not use peel in the morning.)

RESULTS

How long have you been using your peel?

I’ve been using the product for about 20 days now.

In the first three days, I didn’t notice much of a difference, but after day four I finally started breaking out. I know you’re all probably like, “I don’t want to use it if it’s going to make me breakout” — but this is normal and a part of the process because of the AHA (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) in the product. AHA promotes faster cell turnover and causes your skin to purge. Basically, this means that the breakouts below the surface of your skin will start to resurface all at once. This continued throughout the rest of Phase 1.

Was your skin brighter?

I started Phase 2 about six days ago. Since then, I have noticed that my skin has become sensitive, dry, and inflamed. Don’t fret, this is also a part of the process of Phase 2. If I were to complete this treatment over again for another 14 days for I feel like my skin will be much brighter.

Did you notice a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles?

I have not noticed a huge change in my fine lines or wrinkles. I do think that they look a little better than before, but I did not see any major changes. However, I feel that if I were to do the treatment over a couple more times I would see a reduction.

What about dark spots?

Yes! My dark spots did improve. I was extremely happy about this because I still have some leftover acne scarring from when I was younger.

TAKEAWAYS

Overall, I have been impressed with Lancôme’s Visionaire Crescendo. I believe that if you’re really looking for a product that isn’t going to break the bank but is actually going to improve your skin’s overall texture and appeal then you should give this a try.

I will keep you all informed of the final results once I finish Phase 2 in 8 days!

  1. This post was really interesting! I am always looking for products to fade dark spots so I may have to try this system.
