Asheville is known for its indie, bohemian vibe. The town is all about celebrating art, music, and anything unique. A stroll through downtown leads you past hipster coffee shops, craft breweries, and top-notch local restaurants. There’s something unexpected at every bend.
We initially took the trip to see Portugal, The Man (yes, they were awesome!) and decided to explore while we were there.
We stayed at the Residences at Biltmore in a studio. The hotel is nestled in a quiet residential area that is only about a mile from downtown Asheville. We loved the fact that we were able to walk everywhere and no detail is overlooked. The entire studio is modern and updated with granite and stainless steel finishes. Truly, one of the best places to stay in Asheville!
The next day we wanted to drive to see the mountains. Graham is from North Carolina and recommended that we go for a drive on Blue Ridge Parkway. I discovered that this is a drive that tempts you and encourages exploration. The winding road has mile-high spectacular mountain views to the east and west. Over and over again, I was left staring out the window in awe, thinking it’s like a movie. It’s was just that beautiful.
If you’re wondering where to go for a weekend getaway Asheville is a perfect place!
